The Diss Angling Club website is of interest: http://www.dissanglingclub.org.uk/page16.html .

I did wonder if the footpath is for general use, or just for members of the club...?

I have been trying to locate another path to the river from Scole Road - as shown on maps - but if it's where I think it is, it's completely overgrown and behind a padlocked gate.

The fishing in Brockdish takes place opposite the Junction of Crabtree Rise with Scole Road, you'll see a concrete roadway going in a southerly direction towards the Sewer works, past this a footpath continues down to the River Waveney, where you'll see fishing pegs set along the bank.

My Father, Tom, was a strong supporter of the Diss Angling club and would be pleased to see that the club is still going strong. I currently am involved with my local club, Ongar and District Angling Society and we have a website www.ongardas.com. My father was again involved with this club prior to his retirement to Brockdish. Great to see all the local news.

Does anyone know where abouts in Brockdish this fishing is held?

I don't suppose there is an awful lot for spectators to watch?
