AN open gardens event in Brockdish helped to raise over £2,000 for charity on Sunday.

The Old Coach House was opened up by its owners John Spooner and his wife Jackie to provide money for The Prostate Cancer Charity, The Big C and the Air Ambulance.

The day saw more than 500 people enter The Old Coach House in Brockdish to view the gardens, with more than a dozen volunteers getting involved. Mr Spooner suffers from prostate cancer himself and was delighted with the amount raised. “We had a really good day and I want to say thank you to all our supporters who helped us through the day.

“Without them we just wouldn’t have been able to do it.”
