Dear Sir or Madam,
I have been researching my family history. My father, Alfred Anderson, died in 1994. I have a record of his army service with one address shown as Hartismire Hospital, Eye, Suffolk followed by the address of Red Farm, Brockdish. After that date his addresses were again back in London.
I know that he was ill at some stage in the war and presume that is why he went to Hartismere Hospital. Perhaps he went to Red Farm for convalesence.
Could anybody enlighten me if they know anything about Red Farm being used for this.
Regards
Lt Cdr Jerry Anderson RN (Retired)

I moved to Brockdish quite recently - last September - and cherish the sight (yes and even the sound) of the peacocks strutting along the rooftops (including mine at Shingle House) in all their colourful display. They are an unusual feature of the place and hope that they will continue to flourish

Why spend money on travellers sites? they have plenty of money themselves to spend on their own sites, then if they trash the site then its their money they have wasted. Like a male in Norwich who trashes everything and flytips and gets away with it.. they go into local supermarkets and thieve and then when they get caught nothing is done about it, try putting then on dis-used oil rigs !!
