Great to hear that Jon, Nigel and Roy have all offered to take over this website. I have also offered my services, so if this does come to fruition, I am willing to help in the updating in any way I can.

Roy and I discussed this last night and also secured Nigel’s help for the technical expertise so think if you need to hand over the site then should be in good hands to keep running with regular updates etc

I have just taken over the Church Near You website for Brockdish Church and would certainly be interested in doing a joint exercise with Jon. Not sure if I have the expertise yet to take it on at this stage but would be interested in participating.

Hi Stephen,

Can you give an idea of what sort of costs involved in keeping the domain running and current hosting arrangements / charges. If you could reply to my email address would be best, would be keen to keep this kept alive and secure commitment for updates etc as agree would be a real shame to not have this.

Shame if the site has to die but I guess it suffers the inevitable fate of being in a small community that cannot/does not offer the support. Thanks for everything you have tried to do and understand the problems of trying to do “extras” whilst holding down a full time job!

Not sure of the technicalities but it would be good if the domain can remain within the village even if dormant. Can this be transferred to someone in a position just to hold it for future use? I would be happy to do this if required. Doug

Red (Barn) Farm is close to Brockdish Hall – I wonder if there was a connection. You don’t include the date.

I found nothing helpful from a quick Google search – you could try Norfolk Record Office.
